I got these blocks for my 3 younger kiddos (ages 18 months, 3 year and 5 year old) (baby boy and 2 girls) these blocks are jumbo sized for their tiny hands, and also for safety reasons it's good they are big enough that they doubt fit into any of the littles mouths. These are very soft and bendable but retain their shape indefinitely. So while they look like normal jumbo blocks, they arent hard so the kids are less likely to get hurt, and so am I if my kids innocently leave them on the floor for me to step on barefoot. ;p. I love that they stretch to the wall so easily, although I wish the hardware (small screws or nails) had been included, I had some on hand. The blocks don't work with the other leap frog big blocks that we own, I'm not sure if they would work with another brand or not. The littles seem to be fascinated by the fact that the base is wall mounted. The blocks can be built on the floor or a table and also attach to the top of the walk mounted base, they can also be stored within for easy, quick clean up. The kids are more likely to put these away when finished playing because the play area is also the storage place for these and it takes very little effort to put then away because the kids don't have to walk anywhere to put them away they can simply sit in the same place to play, then easily stash inside without having to move an inch. This also helps with there blocks not being strewn all over the place. I believe you can purchase more of the blocks that go witch these, but this set comes with enough for a small toddler to enjoy playing with. This purchase was definitely a success with my children, and I do recommend them for toddlers thru tounf children age groups.
