GoodMy kids have a Step2 Lifestyle Dream Kitchen which came with a few pots, pans, and utensils, not to mention the various random spatulas, knifes, ladles and other such items we have amassed from the numerous food play sets I've purchased for them (Learning Resources New Sprouts, Melissa & Doug and Plan Toys) However, while they do have a Green Toys tea set, they didn't have a tea kettle that you put on a stove to "boil" and when I saw one in this set, and also saw that it was made by Learning Resources which we love, I couldn't pass it up for the $12.19 it was listed at when I ordered it!I also thought my son (4.5) in particular would appreciate the potato masher because we don't have one of those and he likes mine, and what's another pot and pan and a few more utensils? Kids love those!Well, I'm so glad I got it because my kids love ALL of the pieces in the set. I love that the pot and pan are larger than the ones that came with our Step2 Kitchen, because they can fit more in the pot while "making a soup" for instance, yet it is pretty much to scale with our Step2 kitchen and still fits well enough on the burner, and they also just like to play with it on the floor. The lids fit perfectly and are interchangeable between the pot and pan -- I saw a few reviews where people said the lids didn't fit, and highly suggest contacting Amazon Customer Service for a replacement if that's the case with your set, because they should! Amazon is REALLY great about returns/replacements, even if the deadline for doing so has passed they will usually give an "exception" so it's always worth a try!We have a couple of Learning Resources New Sprouts play food baskets (breakfast and dinner) and also the Learning Resources Farmers Market Color Sorting Set, and the pot and pan can fit the scale of these foods perfectly! It may seem like a given since they're the same brand, but I've learned that it's not always the case! See the pictures I included for reference. As predicted, my son really liked the potato masher, and it also came with an ice cream scoop and a slotted spoon which we didn't have, a spatula and a knife, all of which my kids really like and are actually using in their play kitchen. Finally, the tea kettle was a hit and also fits perfectly on the Step2 kitchen stove and my kids have loved pretending to make tea and serve it to me! Such a great set for a great price, and I'm really glad I got it for all of the included items. The neutral color scheme is awesome too, so many kitchen and home themed imaginary play items for kids are geared towards girls with their color schemes, but it's an important developmental part of learning and play for all children regardless of whether they are a boy or a girl, so I love when I find neutral colored items like this! This would make a great starter set for any kid from about a year on up who likes to play with pots/pans/utensils and to have something to put their play food in, or as an addition to expand the items in a play kitchen like we did! Both my 4.5 year old son and 19 month old daughter love and play with this set equally! Great, reasonably priced set with a good variety of interesting items for all ages and I highly recommended it. :)This is your basic kitchen pots and pans playset. It fits the stove and play food of our play kitchen nicely. The reason why it's for 3 years old and up is because these items arent made of a solid one piece construction. For example, the kettle has a moving part on the spout, and the large boiling pot has handles that are snapped in at the factory. This set is fine for older children that have outgrown putting everything in their mouth. If you have a little one, please find a set that is made In a way that it is all one piece. These toys are well made, and fun. My grandkids really like to play with them. It's an adorable set. This is the second company I purchased a pots and pans set to go with my son's shopping cart/food set he got for Christmas. The first set was from an outside impoter. I purchased this set because my son has quite a few toys from them that he got as gifts- some I questioned their quality, but there were some that led me to trust the company. The pots/pans and tea kettle are adorable. My son immediately started pretending to poor liquid from the kettle into the pots to have us drink. The problems are:#1: This product says it's for 3 and up and it's a pretend playset. My son, behind my back, pours his milk in the pot and drank from it. It's not like this is an Earth shattering thing, but there is no indication anywhere that this is safe plastic.#2: The colorful convective pieces, especially the utensils seem like the will break soon, especially with an active 3 year old.UPDATE: 2 days after my review, the potato masher broke. Also, I received a message from the company stating the children's safety is always important. While those words are great to read, that was the end of that particular statement. My advice, if you've read this far, is to purchase pretend cookware Green Toys. They are a lot more expensive, BUT you really get what you pay for. My son has a lot of GT products and I love the brand. Now I have gone twice with a cheaper route for this particular style of toys and I'm so sorry I did.I have an almost 2 year old and he loves the set. Our only issue is that the pot and pans were flexable enough where he started to malform them for he liked to squish them. He'd get a bit upset that the lids wouldn't fit on due to that. Overall is a great product and I'd recommend buying it.My 3 year old daughter loves to "cook" and was constantly asking if she could take her nice stainless steel cooking toys outside to play with in the sand/water table. I didn't want her nice set getting ruined so I found this set cheap on Amazon. Although this set would work inside just fine, it's perfect for outside play! There are no metal pieces (no rust) and they rinse clean easily. The variety that was in this set is great: skillet, stock pot, 2 interchangeable lids, a fun kettle, and 5 utensils (including ice-cream scoop, which is unusual). The colors where slightly different in my set than the picture (mine was only yellow, red and blue, NO green). The potato masher broke pretty much right away (it got stepped on) but the quality is pretty good and sturdy, especially considering the price. Pair this with a cheap plastic tea set and you have hours of fun outdoor creative play making mud pies and sand cakes!Bought for my daughter and she loves it! We were given a play kitchen and so I bought her the set to go with, it all hangs out in the corner of our kitchen and she gets to "cook" in the same space we do. She mimics stirring and takes them all in and out of cupboards and everything. We like showing her what we're doing when we're cooking and she loves playing with her own stuff.I bought this little set for my just turned two year old granddaughter. I was specifically asked by her parents to buy plastic so that the utensils couldn't be used as hammers! This set is ideal and has already provided hours and hours of happy play. The pieces are the right size for little hands and the pan lids are easy to fit and remove. The colours are bright and cheerful and the plastic seems decent quality.I would have rated it as a five star based on quality and price and suitability for very young children. Unfortunately I had to rate it down a star because the potato masher broke within two days despite receiving no rough handling. The connection between the handle and the mashing part is simply not strong enough. So far the other utensils seem more robust. I am not expecting this set to last for years and would envisage replacing it with something larger and possibly wooden in a year or so.Overall, I consider this to have been a very good purchase and I think its little owner would agree.Good set, the potato masher (once the end is off) and the knife are a bit lethal so they’ve been hidden away. My only gripe is the photo shows they have green parts but the set that showed up is only blue, red and yellow which is a bit disappointing as I would have liked the green to match a set we already have.Perfect set for little hands. My two year old loves it. Nice and colourful. Got it to go together with her new toy kitchen for her birthday. Do recommend it to everyone. Really good price too. Was packed really well, and delivery was quick. Even no its plastic, but looks really firm.Excellent buy, my son has played with this set so much and had such great fun. He loves a bit of role play. The set is good quality and lasts well. We have had it over a year now and it’s in great condition despite being well played with.Good set of play kitchen accessories. Loved by the little person they were purchased for. These items are not always used for there intended purpose, the kettle is often used as a hoover (go figure) but along with all the other items used for various and unintended uses they survive very well.
